The Gangsters Update No. 1
Hove Park Tavern
After a quiet couple of months last Saturday night was The Gangsters 'First BIG Gig' of the year and it certainly lived up to all expectations. The Hove Park Tavern proved to be a fantastic venue, with a large dance floor, which as always was filled from the first beat, even though our revised set confused a few of you. At one point we even had people dancing in the pavement outside, while they cooled down! Judging from the reactions we've had via facebook, everyone had a great time. If you didn't manage to get a ticket or missed the gig, then you can check out the phone videos on our facebook page. You'll also find some of the fantastic photographs, which were taken by Pete Chapman - the 360 degree picture is really unusual!
The band would like to give a 'special thank you' to our very own Security Team, Mick Alan and Mike, who stepped in to help out on the door and to make sure everyone was safe. We hope to be back at the Hove Park Tavern later in the year.
Local Heroes Although we've had a couple of quiet months on the gig front, things have been really busy in Gangsterland. Andy Gangster used the time by putting pen to paper and writing 2 new tacks, for our forthcoming EP 'Local Heroes'. After a couple of rehearsals both songs we're aired for the first time at the Hove Park Tavern and went down really well. This weekend we will be in a recording studio to put together the songs for the EP. We've not got a release date, but watch this space for updates.
