SO BEGINS ANOTHER WEARY MAY!
Well, not exactly weary, but maybe one of the busiest and exciting May's ever for The Gangsters. From Stadium Gigs to a Cruise Liner, in a matter of days. Ok, it's not exactly a Stadium Gig, but we are providing the pre-match entertainment for the Brighton and Hove Albion v Manchester United on Friday 4th May and then on Sunday 6th May we sail from Southampton on the 'Navigator of the Seas'.
BIG Filming Gig at Shoreham Community Centre
Last Friday's BIG Filming Gig went really well. The whole night went really well and it was really nice to see some new faces as well as our regular followers. The venue surpassed our expectations and proved to be the perfect venue for filming some of the shots for our new videos. As with any gig there's a lot of organisation going on behind the scenes as always Karen was running our merchandise, Pete Strong on video camera operator and Pete Chapman, our very own photographer, who as usual has taken some stunning photos. You can see Pete's photos on our Facebook page.
THE BOYS FROM THE SOUTH
The last 12 months have seen a massive increase in interest in The Gangsters. The recent launch of our EP 'Local Heroes' has been very successful and has already received airplay. We hoping to get a copy to Sara Cox on the cruise, so all you 'twitters' get on her page and ask her to play it! The Gangsters have always been a popular local band, but the band is continually growing in popularity and we have people following us from all over the world, via our Facebook page, website and of course word of mouth. The NEW logo has topped things off and hopefully will separate us from the other bands calling themselves The Gangsters - there's only one The Gangsters "The Boys from the South!"
Keep an eye out for our facebook page over the next couple of weeks, when we get a chance we'll be uploading pics and updates from the cruise. SKA ME HEARTIES!
